I go back up and down!!!!

I saw the play Man of her dreams on Saturday nite. It was o.k I guess. Musiq was in it that was a nice added bonus!!!! Shirley Murdock, Jackee, Ralph Tresvant a few other folks, I can't remember their names but know their faces..............i should have written them down.....LOL Oh and some comedian A.J sumthin or other.......he was in players club........sad to say he made the play!!!! He was funny as hell!!! The play was pretty much predictable........sad but hey we try and support the effort!!!!

After the play we all went out. My friends pretty much treated me but I had to at least buy ONE round of drinks.............so I spent $60 total that nite..........I felt bad sunday morning. WHY????? Because I spent $60 and I have NO JOB!!!!!

I am trying soooo hard to stay positve!!!! I know I will overcome this and this time next year I will look back at this as a learning experience.........but for now, I keep having all theese emotions!!!!!

Fear, guilt(because my boss was fired also), sadness, anger(because the person I tried to help still has his job), worry, anxiety..........you name it, I feel it at any given time!!!!

Thanks again you guys for all the POSITVE support!!!!! I will keep you all posted on the job search!!!!

I'm brushing up my resume this morning.......dusting it off cause it's 8 years old............

THANKS GUYS YOU ALL ARE THE BESTEST!!!!!

I agree with dj, that money was well spent if it took your mind off your troubles for a minute ... now it's time to get down to business! Spruce up that resume and do what you gotta do, girl. I know this is going to work out for the best for you! Take care.

You needed your spirits uplifted and you went out. It is okay. You will have something soon and it may be even better than what you had before. Maybe it was just time for change. Not always easy, but sometimes necessary. Keep your head up.

Dee. . .

As someone who works in Human Resources, I find it tough to deal with people who have lost their jobs. I hate to hear that, truly I do. It's painful to witness, and even more painful to deal with it when it your own experience or someone you know.

I, too, have been let go from a job before, and I know how you feel. It's shock, numbing, and everything in between.

Dee: Please look on Craigslist, hotjobs, monster, and Indeed.com for job postings. It is also good to go to agencies, who will do the work for you. . .

So that's where B list and other old black entertainers go to die - Black Plays.

In other news...Keep your head up Diva. Remember when one door closes another one opens (or has that been said already in your posts? If so, I second the motion).

You needed that night out to feel better and take your mind off your troubles temporarily.

I saw that play too and I thought that AJ Johnson was the only funny person in it. It is so typical. I liked the part where one of the characters was crying on his shoulder and he told her to stop because he had to wear those clothes throughout the entire play.

Good luck on your job search.

The offer I made in the comments on your last post was not a polite gesture...if I can help, up to and including sending my resume itself for some friendly author-approved plagiarism just say the word and send me email info...Time is of the essence and this is a sincere offer as I am incapable of the polite gesture...I've been where you are and smoothing out the waves ASAP has to be a priority...so hit me on email if you decide to take me up on the offer and keep your head up and you will keep breaking the waves!
